The Pavilion of Innovation 2015 in Beyond Building Barcelona, curated by IAAC | Fab Lab Barcelona, presents new ideas and construction paradigms emerging from international excellence in research and pilot projects, forming the basis of future buildings and cities. Novel and reactive materials, advanced digital/robotic manufacturing techniques and responsive environments are the key topics presented, towards shaping the future of the building industry.
The Pavilion of Innovation 2015 will also host events such as a symposium, where pioneer architects and designers will be discussing the future technologies and innovation in construction, as well as hosting a series of educational workshops open for all professionals and students, such as N-E-RO.
The usage of drones has become a common practice today, with applications in several sectors, from leisure to professional services such security, photogrammetry, environmental mapping and tourism. N.E.RO. technology focusses on data collection and the translation of diverse environmental conditions into useful and accessible information and resources. During this event, we will explain the fabrication process and assembly of the first version of the N.E.RO drone. This live presentation will give participants the opportunity to interact with drone technology, from mechanical frame design to electronic assembly.
Design: parametric drone design
Fabrication: laser cutting the frame
Electronics: assembly and fly test
No requirements are needed. All material needed will be provided by the organization.
