Today, Noumena founder Aldo Sollazzo will be sustaining the Blending Paths conference, an event within the PostDigitalism Cycle of Conferences, held at the École d’architecture de la ville & des territoires à Marne-la-Vallée, Paris, discussing about the scaleless approach of the practice – Noumena operates into a scaleless environment, exercising a multidimensional approach blending codes, biology, robotic and programmable materials.
The digital environment has transformed our culture and society. It has provoked new types of users, design, manufacturing and raised important questions about the new role of the architect within society and its relationship with new technology.
This cycle of conferences is jointly organized by Francesco Cingolani, professor at l’Écoled’architecture de la ville & des territoires à Marne-la-Vallée et à l’Ensap de Lille, co-founder Volumes and Fab City Grand Paris, co-founder and director of the Mastère Spécialisé Design by Data de l’École des Ponts ParisTech, and by Minh Man Nguyen , professor at l’École d’architecture de la ville & des territoires à Marne-la- Vallée et à l’Ensa de Paris-Malaquais, co-founder of WoMa, Fab City Grand Paris, WAO and co-founder Mastère Spécialisé Design by Data de l’École des Ponts ParisTech.
The conferences are open everyone from any school, and aim to stimulate a critical and dynamic reflexion towards these testimonial subjects in the areas of architecture, urbanism, social design, engineering, entrepreneurship and activism.
The objective of the cycle of conferences is to question the role played by the architect in the evolution of technology so they are able to be in control and creators.
