is a series of digital workshops for the students of 2nd and 3 rd year of  École nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris-Malaquais with the goal to introduce them with the notions of geometric rationalization, conception and fabrication logics through learning adequate software and their critical practices. The workshops were organized along two weeks, from the 19th to the 23rd of September and from the 26th to the 30th of September respectively for  “Fabrication” (D5W) and  “Algorithms” (D3W).

Efilena Baseta participated in the D5W week which was dedicated to the teaching of simulation and control of computer assisted fabrication and construction processes, in order to integrate physical, material data, into conception development. The focus was on the teaching of the digital fabrication of specific components around a common case study: an exhibition stand. Each workshop worked with a predetermined fabrication tool: laser cutter associated with CNC milling machine, 3D-printer and a 6-axis robot.

Teachers: Efilena Baseta, Arnaud Delente, Louise Deguigne, Nathanael Dorent, Clément Duroselle, Sebastien Perrault, Kristjan Plagborg, Quentin Perchais, Jim Rhoné, Sylvain Usai, Julien Vaissière
