On the 27th and 28th of September 2018, the RCA (Research Culture in Architecture) conference took place in Kaiserslautern. The conference with the theme ‘Cross-disciplinary Collaboration’ was hosted at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. The conference aimed to discuss topics and methods in architectural research, focusing on their cross-disciplinary interrelations and their relevance to the design process itself. Among other researchers, Efilena Baseta presented her abstract ‘Digitally fabricated active-bending beams for the rapid assembly of temporary structures’ in the session of Material and Construction.
